Ball Shagging

With a team of often ball mad dogs, and controlled mayhem going on during a flyball race, stray balls from completed runs can cause a safety risk, or be distracting to the dogs competing.  The role of the ball shagger is to collect the balls from the field for their team.  This is one of the support activities that junior handlers are able to to in the ring (to steward or time-keep you need to be 15 years or older).  It is important to remember when ball shagging that balls are not allowed to be thrown in the ring (as it may distract your opponents, and cause them to cross the line).
